Camelus Dromedarius Dark, dank, heavy-handed death-doom that leans more on the doom side than the death side. This LP moves either at a lumbering crawl or crushing chug. No violins, no experimental, no prog, just straight up doom. A solid debut album by Solothus. Favorite track: Plaguewing.

John Mexico This is really straight up good shit out of Finland. I was jamming some Hooded Menace (also an excellent band) and saw these guys as a similar act on the Encyclopedia Metallum. Damn, I'm very impressed with the mood and the thickness of the riffs. Get it!!! \m/ Favorite track: Plaguewing.

Anointing The Sick Doom / Death. Not the nice stuff with violins and cellos, but the dank fetid kind.

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
